To get a more complete picture of whiteboard videos and how they can be used in your classroom, please watch the videos and read the blog posts listed below.
Take this brief quiz about what you learned in Module A.
Visit each of the following sites mentioned in the first blog post: Show Me, Educreations, Knowmia
Watch some teacher-created videos at these sites related to your subject. Get a sense of how it works and what some other teachers out there are doing. Create an account with one of the whiteboard platforms, preferably the one with which you feel the most comfortable. Choose a quick concept or lesson idea currently in your curriculum--for example, how to multiply fractions, or identifying the parts of an animal cell. Create your own screencast! Using your chosen concept or lesson idea and using any of the platforms above, create a two-minute video that would assist your students outside of the classroom. Copy and paste the link to your published screencast in an email addressed to me with the subject line: "[Last Name] My Screencast." Complete this brief Google Form. Here are host of applications for screencasting, provided by TeamWICK. What can you add?
Visit the WickliffeWiki for even more resources, suggestions for use, and teacher reviews.
Download this file to learn how to apply the SAMR model to screencasting. Complete this app evaluation rubric. Consider creating your own YouTube, SchoolTube, or TeacherTube account to post your videos in one place. |
