Create a Pinterest account. Watch this video overview of Pinterest, created especially for teachers. Visit one or all of my education boards to see Pinterest for teachers in action: Education, Tech Ed, In the Classroom, Elementary Tech, Interactive Notebooks, My Dream ELA Classroom, Curriculum Development, and Teacher Humor. Watch this five-minute video about how to make your teaching "PINTEREST-ing."
Read this blog post from Te@chThought about Pinterest best practices in the classroom. Take this brief quiz about what you learned in Module A.
Here's the challenge: you will create two Pinterest boards:
When you have finished creating your boards, please invite me to follow them. You do this by first following my education boards:
> From the search bar at the top of the page, type in my username (sdemichele1210) and hit enter. > Click on my home board, but DO NOT CLICK "FOLLOW" ON MY HOME BOARD. You only want to follow specific boards related to education. > My education boards are the first ones that appear. Click the follow button to follow a specific one. Click unfollow to no longer follow it. > This video tutorial from Pinterest shows you how to follow/unfollow. Complete this brief survey about this month's challenge.
Share with me your suggestions and use of Pinterest as an educational tool for inclusion in a future WCS Weekly. And don't forget to follow other WCS teachers on Pinterest! |
