This second challenge addresses a timely and crucial issue for our teachers, and that's learning how to create "PARCC-esque" questions to prepare our students for Next Generation Assessments. Follow the directions provided in each module, please complete the modules in order, and don't hesitate to ask questions!

THE PRE-CHALLENGE IS ENTIRELY OPTIONAL.
The heart of PARCC's design is rooted in three criteria:
To get a more comprehensive overview of PARCC assessments and the expectations required of both educators and students, please refer to the following resources, but only if you feel it necessary, before commencing with the challenge. Print the chart below to keep as a reference tool for yourself as you design future assessments. (Click and drag to your desktop.) You will be engaging in online training designed by PARCC to specifically meet your learning needs. Watch this six-minute help video before training.
Take the PARCC online training course, choosing the "standard" version. You will first take a pre-test to personalize your training. If you answer a question incorrectly, you will be asked to visit a related tutorial. If you answer all six questions correctly, training is unnecessary! Because the PARCC tutorial has an evaluation aspect built into it, there is no need to take a separate assessment for this challenge. However, please email the titles of tutorials you viewed, based on your pre-test results.

When you have finished with your paper-pencil test, please attach it to an email addressed to me with the subject line: "[Last Name] My PARCC-esque Assessment." With your online assessment, copy and paste the link to it in an email addressed to me with the subject line: "[Last Name] My Online Assessment."
